COLLEGE PARK            North Clayton's sophomore guard Kayla Kennedy erupts for 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 steals to help North Clayton defeat Elite Scholars Academy in their season opener.

Per Maxpreps, Kennedy shot 16/26 from the field while shooting 2/4 from the three. She also led her team in assist with four.

After a slow first quarter, the Lady Eagles picked up steam by stretching the floor by attempting and making more shots from the perimeter. After leading 8-5 in the first, North Clayton led 29-7 at the half.

Defense from the Lady Eagles was the tale of this game, with freshman Fatou Fall being one of the main contributors. The young point guard took the challenge of picking up the Lady Knight's primary ball handler at half court and not letting up. Fall played both sides of the ball by supplying scoring from the perimeter and dishing it off to her teammates for assists.

North Clayton got many steals by playing the passing lanes which result in easy scores in transition. Their on-ball defense applied great pressure to the Lady Knights' offense.

The Lady Eagles are schedule to play against Sandy Creek in their territory November 17 at 7:30pm via Maxpreps.
