ELLENWOOD            Mustangs senior Khalif Walston explodes for 21 second half points to not only end the team's two game losing streak, but to give them the final spot in the AAAAAA Region 3 tournament.

Despite a 24 point from senior Kyrion Thornton, The Mustangs outscored the Panthers 46-27 in the second half to solidify their spot in the tournament.

The first quarter was a complete shootout between both clubs as they traded buckets with one another. There was hardly any inside scoring as the teams lit it up from the perimeter. Forest Park led 19-18 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Morrow slowly began to take over as they crashed the offensive glass for second chance points. The Mustangs defense stepped up, limiting Forest Park to an eight point quarter.

The second half belonged to Morrow. They disrupted Forest Park's offense by forcing turnovers and converting on the other end. With Thorton being the main source of scoring, he was doubled through the second half to force someone else to be the scorer.

With the 79-53 victory over the Panthers, Morrow will face Woodward Academy Saturday at Jonesboro High School. this upcoming Saturday.
