JONESBORO With the Wildcats playing well on both sides of the ball, they extend their win streak to three and improve to 6-3 on the season.
Forest Park put the first points on the board with a field goal, capitalizing off the 59-yard interception from senior Jamari Lewis.
Lovejoy's quarterback Malachi Lightfoot threw his first of three touchdown passes on the night to junior Antonio Floyd to get the Wildcats on the board.
Not only did the Wildcats get the pass game going, they also dominated with the run. Running back Dralin Gilbert was responsible for this, breaking tackles and carrying the pile with him to get every yard. He finished the game with three rushing TDs with one of them going for 71 yards.
The Wildcats scored a game high 28 points in the second quarter. Within the period, senior Kaden Dyer recorded an interception, which led to Lightfoot connecting with Floyd for another TD.
Following a 41-yard TD catch by Michael Gilliam, the Wildcats' defense forced a fumble inside Forest Park's 10-yard line and recovered it in the end zone to put the finishing touches on the game.
Lovejoy's final regular season opponent will be Jonesboro and Forest Park will face Woodward Academy.
